Bioinsight is represented in the 1º Encontro sobre Espécies Exóticas Aquáticas no Tejo (1st Meeting About Aquatic Alien Species in the Tagus River).
The introduction of alien species is considered to be one of the main causes of biodiversity loss. It’s also responsible for other environmental, socio-economic and public health consequences. Those impacts can drive to great ecosystem losses.
This meeting is an attempt to look for a sustainable solution to assure a balance between nature protection and economic sustainability of the populations depending on these aquatic resources.
