It’s earlier next month (March 1 - 2) that Mexico WindPower 2017 Exhibition and Congress will take place in Mexico City.
In its sixth edition, Mexico WindPower 2017 has emerged as the most important international business summit of renewable energies in the country.
Co-organized by AMDEE – Asociación Mexicana de Enegía Eólica, GWEC – Global Wind Energy Council and E.J. Klause de México, the event comes in line with the Mexico’s goal to reach 35% of generation of electric energy coming from clean sources by 2024.
As stated by the organization:
Each MW from wind avoids the emission of 2.900 tons of CO2 per year into the atmosphere, which contributes significantly to slowing down climate change.
Investment in the wind sector in Mexico not only generates benefits by offering competitive electric energy prices but it also promotes the creation of a value chain for national manufacturers and products.
To date the investment made in wind farms totals over 6 billion USD with more than 1,400 wind turbines operating in the country and it is estimated that there will be investments of more than 12 billion USD between 2015 and 2018.
Bioinsight, knowing the growth potential of the country, will look for opportunities to expand our environmental knowledge, here applied to wind power, not only to Mexico as to the surrounding countries.
