Bird Survey

Bioinsight has performed, earlier this month, a bird monitoring action, in Southern Portugal, being these kind of survey an integral part of a project ongoing for a few years.

This sampling campaign had as main goals the observation and monitoring of steppe birds, and also of birds of prey and other soaring birds, typically found in the Alentejo plains habitats.

The main species under study were the Little bustard, the Great bustard, the Black-bellied sandgrouse and the Bonelli’s eagle, resident species on the region all year.

Unfortunately, isn´t always possible to take good pictures of birds in the wild, but landscapes are awesome, always providing amazing experiences!

Take a peek at some of the greatest images collected in the field.
