Luís Rosa wonderment for the natural world started at an early age, leading him to an academic degree in Biology Applied to Terrestrial Ecosystems (BSc) and in Conservation Biology (PgDip).
Luís has been working with Bioinsight since 2015, where he has collaborated mainly in wind farm monitoring and offset/compensation projects, but also in dams and water channels monitoring, environmental impacts of dredging (both in fauna and water quality), and birdstrike risk assessment and airport risk management. He has acquired skills in different fauna groups monitoring, and in project management, namely in post-construction raptors monitoring in wind farms.
He has also been involved in research, development and innovation projects, mainly in the development and update of monitoring methodologies in wind farms.
Luís also enjoys photography, literature and cinema, and is always looking for a good laugh.
Main working areas and relevant skills: Bird ecology, Environmental Impact Assessment (mainly in wind farms), birdstrike risk assessment and airport risk management, project management, use of GIS tools, writing of technical reports, field detection and identification of inland birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians.
