Catarina Hencleeday graduated in Biology (BSc) at Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL), with a specialization on Terrestrial Environmental Biology.
This branch allowed her to learn how to develop research project from project design, data collection and analysis. Currently, she is taking an internship at Bioinsight while attending the second year of her master’s degree in Ecology and Environmental Management (MSc).
An endless curiosity and desire to gain experience during her studies contributed to the involvement and collaboration in some projects, namely at cE3c – Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes.
Apart of her personal academic formation, she complemented her education by taking part of the board of FCUL’s Biology Students Association (NEBFCUL), as volunteer member of the Cultural and Recreational Department. Her main goal was to promote learning opportunities for the remaining students through the organization of congresses and other similar events. Throughout this experience, she acquires many skills from leadership and teamwork to time management.
Main working areas or relevant skills: Environment and biodiversity, all kinds of environmental impact studies, monitoring and ecosystem services.
